Sab Kardo
Friday, January 16, 2009 at 5:08 pm
Last year I made a post about Web 2.0 connection with Karachi’s minibuses in which I also mentioned how Wiki art was actually coined by our own people. Today I received a mail by a former colleague about Zong’s Sab Kahdo. How creative are our people, see yourself! :P. The thing which gave me laugh was 0.75/minute.

LOL! Good one.

Lol
I just wonder why they put such a big board with that stupid word written on it, in BOLD? Doesn’t the washbasin or (usually) the jharoo enough for people to know what that place is?
Did you edit the “Sab keh do” line in the picture or was it like that by default?
Anyway, its weird! Pakistanis need to get educated in this matter.

Hilarious
thanks for sharing!

Aray! why would I edit? I know nothing about photoshop. It’s just another forward mail.
Doesn’t the washbasin or (usually) the jharoo enough for people to know what that place is?
Ajeeb ho. How these two things can give someone a hint about Washroom? Is it not good that it was actually written. Infact I think it’s good that it was mentioned. What if nature is calling desperately and person wastes time to figure out about the place then you know what could happen :P- Bhai emergency me sochnay ka tima nahi hota

get educated about what?
on January 17th, 2009 at 5:18 PM
Where was it?
on January 17th, 2009 at 6:44 PM
I don’t know.
on January 17th, 2009 at 9:21 PM
This is probably the first place where I’m seeing the word “Washroom” and the other idiotic word written once only.
I have seen numerous places where after every inch you’d find that same “idiotic word” written. And they also add to it: “3 rupia, 3 rupia!”
Aisi bhee kia publicity ab?
Plus, even if there isn’t any board placed there or jharoo or washbasin, the killing smells are more than enough for a person to know where the toilets are, and they do attract the needy ones!
*YUCK*
on January 18th, 2009 at 6:28 AM
LOL Umemma! i loved your description. Seems you have done lots of research or visited such public toilets.
So they should not write WASHROOM? speaking of writing “tariff”, it’s necessary. Infact, hehhe, they even go a step further to mention different rates of different kind of activity taken place in washroom. I wish i could write here what words are actually used on walls
on January 18th, 2009 at 8:21 AM
It’s Rs.3.00 now? last time I used a public toilet in 2002 and I paid Rs.2.00
on January 18th, 2009 at 10:34 AM
lol..
on January 18th, 2009 at 5:48 PM
Uff… By “other word” I meant the word written on the blue board! This word itself is so filthy. Ewwwks!!!
Plus, I haven’t carried out any research on them, it’s just my damn observation!
on January 18th, 2009 at 8:12 PM
Uff…
itna maza ata hay tumhe tang karnay mey
This word itself is so filthy
Acha?… why the word sounds Filthy? even if it is then it’s all about filthiness, no?
it’s just my damn observation
mey samjha practical experience hay ya phir obsession

Lol @ obsession
I’ve got better things to do in life. Or probably not, because a year ago I read this on the wall of a public washroom, “Waaash Rooom: Zeyr-e-nigrani Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town”. The first thought that came to my mind was, “My my, the whole Gulshan Town is watching you!!!!”
See, that’s what I was talking about. Pakistani’s need to get educated in this matter. Laywomen like me take these simple statements in an oversimplified manner *sigh* Hope you got my point.

, “My my, the whole Gulshan Town is watching you!!!!”
hahhaahha! you’re so funny!
Laywomen like me take these simple statements in an oversimplified manner
No. Infact such laywomen need to be educated. The Urdu sentence is quite correct and no where it gives hint that whole town is watching you. Such “laywomen” need to learn a bit more about Urdu. I have also read what you are mentioning here and it didn’t give any such wrong impression.

on January 19th, 2009 at 4:56 PM
97?????? I bet that either copy checker didn’t know Urdu or you gave the bribe
And I look for humor in every statement, every situation
that’s a very rare and nice quality. Don’t ever give it up.
