India ban public smoking

I wonder whether it will really work? Atleast it ddn’t work in Pakistan.

Ban Smoking

India has more than 120 million smokers and observers say the ban will need to be strictly enforced. Those flouting it face fines of 200 rupees ($4.50).

  1. First thing is to realize the problem, which India has very rightly done. But the most important part is the enforcement and proper execution of such laws.

    I hope Pakistan to implement/reinforce ban to public smoking…
    how about bans on pan spitting
    ban on littering
    ban/fine on speeding, reckless driving…
    Proper implementation is the answer, as u have very correctly pointed out…

  4. Many times in India, we seem to realize the problem perfectly. Even planning gets done perfectly many times. But Execution fails most of the times…

    So honestly, i think this is going to be yet another means for the police to earn money!

    ‘Exquisite’ has pointed out many things,and if they are executed perfectly,it will result in quite a revenue for the government as well…

    And i tend to attribute Population as the major reason why it’ll take a very long time to get the Execution right many times!
